Ideally, photos that are being printed should be very high resolution so they don't appear pixelated on the page. Sometimes, this warning pops up after you've uploaded a photo, which reflects the program's very high standards for image resolution:
One way to get an understanding of how your images will appear in the book is to simply download a Preview and have a look at how the photos appear in it; if you're happy with the way they appear on the screen, that's generally an indication of how they'll appear in the book.
That's all to say, if you've received the 'Photo Resolution Issue' warning but are happy with the way the image works, feel free to click the "GOT IT" button and just move on.
Here are tips for including high quality photos in your book!
In order for your photos to print properly in your finished book, they should be:
-In either a .png or .jpg format
-A minimum of 300 DPI (dots per inch)
-Ideally between 2.2MB (megabytes) and 7.2MB in size
Troubleshooting / FAQ:
MY PHOTO IS SIDEWAYS OR UPSIDE DOWN. HOW DO I FIX IT?
Answer: Sometimes a device will save a photo with its metadata in a different orientation; when you preview it, it looks fine, but after you've uploaded it, it's either on its side or flipped upside down entirely. In order to fix this, re-open the original image in your Preview or photo editing software, and rotate the photo 360 degrees, until it's right-side up again. Then save it as a new file, and re-upload that to your cookbook.
CAN I MAKE A COLOR PHOTO BLACK AND WHITE IN THE PROGRAM?
Answer: Yes! To make any photo in your cookbook black and white, simply click the 'Print in Black and White' button to the right-hand side of the image:
