Short answer: You can download a PDF preview from your dashboard to see exactly how your printed book will look before placing your order.
Reviewing your preview is the best way to catch final edits, spacing issues, or small changes before printing.
How to download your PDF preview
Go to the “Preview” tab in your dashboard.
Choose one of the following:
Download PDF in Regular Print Mode (color)
Download PDF in Black & White Mode
Your file will download to your computer as a PDF.
How to view your preview correctly (very important)
For the most accurate representation of your printed book, always view the PDF as a two-page spread, like an open book on a table.
In Adobe Reader:
Select View → Page Display → Two Page View
You can also select Show Cover Page for best results
On a Mac (Preview program):
Select View → Two Pages
Shortcut: Command + 3
In Chrome:
We recommend downloading the file instead of viewing it inside your browser.
To change Chrome’s settings:
Go to Settings
Select Security and Privacy
Click Site Settings
Choose Additional Content Settings
Select PDF documents
Set default behavior to Download PDFs
My preview is missing images — what should I do?
If your preview appears to be missing photos:
Return to your book-building dashboard.
Refresh the page.
Download the preview again.
Refreshing the page renews the image links used to build your preview file, which usually resolves the issue.
